'Torrie Kerr’s daughter was 4 months old when two teenagers shot and killed the baby’s father – in front of his oldest son – in a botched robbery."Often, after such a tragedy, the surviving spouse or parents are showered with sympathy while the children go unnoticed," the mother of three said.

When Torrie L. Kerr founded the WATCH Foundation in 2006...
... she did so with a hope to heal young hearts that were facing loss and emotional upheaval - just as her own children were when her partner was murdered in 1999.
Hoping to use her own pain for purpose, she executed that - and more! By coordinating outreach with local businesses and cultivating love centered professional connections, Torrie was able to continuously host and take part in events, fundraisers, and food/supply drives - as well as provide mentoring and counseling services to those in need.
After her untimely death in July of 2025, Torrie's family vowed to keep her mission alive; thus - WATCH (2026) quickly came to a reality. With a widely broadened list of causes, services, and more children and families eligible for assistance and support - WATCH has re-emerged ready to "save the world" via outreach - and honor Torrie while doing so!
Torrie was supported by her family and friends alike in her mission; her late Mother Jacqueline Kerr-Williams seen below (left) by her side at a WATCH event in 2021, and her grand daughter Ja'Niyah (who lost both parents to death and incarceration**), above.
A personal, family mission - ensures that this TN State Licensed 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization will not only be upheld to human moral standards - but is also anchored in purpose and responsibility on a Christ centered level.
